About WCBLS 2010

Association of Kenya Medical Laboratory Scientific Officers (AKMLSO) which is the National Umbrella body representing all Medical Laboratory Scientists in Kenya in conjunction with International Federation of Biomedical Laboratory Science (IFBLS) which is the international body representing all Medical Laboratory Associations in the world will be hosting the 29th world congress of Biomedical Sciences scheduled for June 6th- 10th 2010 at KICC – Nairobi Kenya.

The purpose of this congress is to promote excellence in biomedical science, enhance professional development, and provide networking opportunities in research, education and business.

From previous world congress a total of 5000 delegates from all over the world are expected to attend. The delegates will be drawn mainly from the main stream medical fraternity like hospitals, medical research institutions, universities and the medical manufacturing and distributor facilities.

With such a number of international delegates AKMLSO and the congress sponsors stand to gain immensely from this rare opportunity given that this congress is being held in Africa for the first time.

The media, science, health, education, transport, hotel, tourism, trade, banking and many other sectors are poised to reap from the congress windfall.
